With speeds like 44000 and 50000 sounds like it may be a Flex call. If it
was 45333 or 50666 it would be V.90.
Try disabling the V.8bis tone on the client. Rockwell had a problem in the
past where AT+MS=V.90 wouldn't force V.90 and Flex would still connect. I
think this was fixed in 2.1.2.136 (maybe not:-). Try the following:
at+a8e=,,,1
This disables the V.8bis tone on the client Rockwell modem and kills flex.
