One of my customers is having a problem connecting to our PM3 (ComOS =
3.8.2) with a type of ISA modem used in the IBM Internet Kit. Any help =
from anyone on the list would be appreciated.
Here are the specs:
The modem's name as it appears in the Modem Properties: ISA modem =
for windows 56k DSVD.
ATI 3: OK
ATI 6: IBM 7852
ATI 7, Options: v34 Bis, V.34 + X2, V.90
=20
IBM says the modem is X2 based and is manufactured by USRobotics.
The problem: The modem connects seldom at 44,000 bps, often at =
31,200 bps, sometimes at 21,600 bps.
I tried disabling x2 with the AS32=3D34. The connection impropved =
for one try, then reverted to the same low speeds.
I am looking for an AT command that might make the modem connect =
reliably at 44,000 bps.
Thanks for your help,
Adam
