I am using ComOS 4.0.3c2 on PM4 and 3.8.2c2 on PM3.
I have problems with Genius modem dialling up (rockwell chipset)
under certain line conditions (usually poor quality lines) unless I
add either the init string:
AT\A3 (Set MNP maximum block size to 256 characters)
or
AT%C0 (Disable MNP5 and v42bis)
As the same modem dials first time every time to a USR Total Control
(without any special init string), I assume this is a Lucent modem code
problem.
Can someone confirm whether this problem is a Lucent problem or specific
to Genius modems or all Rockwell-based modems or a Genius/Lucent specific
incompatibility.
