If you're into pain you can have them update to zoltrix's .156 version...
If you're not into pain have them bring it in and you do it for them...
just extract the files into some throw away directory, then go into
control panel | system | device manager | modem | POS (Piece Of Sh^t) HCF
modem | drivers | update drivers
then look for in directory where you put it...
I just now did one for an Askey modem, and after about 30 minutes of
testing it seems pretty reliable at 48,000. *ugh* can't remember if I
left in the +ms=V90,0,2400,33600,32000,48000 or not.
If anyone wants a followup please let me know.
I do know that previous it had the .110 driver which was crapola! Then I
tried Askey's updated driver which was .135 and it would muck up on 49333
occassionally 48000, and many many can't connect messages. .156 at the
time didn't seem to be too fazed by anything.
