Now, the problem. Forgive me if I missed this while on vacation. Ever
since we upgraded our PM3s to 3.8.2c2 we can't get the USR Winmodems in
the newer Dells to connect. We've tried every init string and the
newest drivers from Dell but they don't work. The dreaded 'the computer
you are dialing did not answer' error comes up every time.
Three commas will allow a connect but at a miserable 2400bps.
Does anyone have an answer besides a new modem or a new ISP?
