Hello,

I thought that'd be a catchy subject line. Welcome to the email.

Anyways, due to recommendation of PC World, we bought a Zoom 2949L (works
maahrvelously, everyone who works here has one now) and the SupraExpress 56k
V90 External, XPR56EPCXL1S.

And, boy oh boy, we can't get this bad boy to do much of anything.

We know it's not the phone lines. We've tried it from different houses, from
within the office, even one of customers bought one (having read the same
article) and she couldn't get a connect as well. She was using the
from-the-box firmware (not sure about #). Us, on the other hand, grab the
latest firm from the Diamond Site (don't have #, modem is at other guy's
house). We both ran through the following steps:

a) Commas. 2 - 4. Nothing.

b) All manners of forcing - V90, Kflex, v.34, disable this, enable that,
blah, blah, blah.

c) AT&FW2&C1&D2&K3&Q5\N3%C3S7=60S95=47 (some list member recommended this).

Any suggestions? Again, I have no ATI for you because the modem is at da
bosses' house ;)
