First, you should check if the modem connects nicely using something like
Hyperterminal or telix.. See if that passes information on correctly, If
it doesn't then you know something is more wrong than just the TCP/IP or
DUN...
Okay, win95 or win98? if win95 update the DUN to 1.2b or higher, and
supposedly you should do the winsock2 update also. Grr, where are my
online notes for doing DUN 1.2b?
Otherwise, if you haven't deleted the connectiod, you can try that
first... Winblowz quite often corrupts the connectiod, and a simple
recreation of this has solved the 'garbage' problems many times for me.
If you want the notes on DUN1.2b+ updating, let me know and I'll throw a
page up with my notes.
