>From what I remember, the Microcom Deskport Rackmount 28.8k modem can be
configured for async or sync(VIA DIP SWITCHES), working at up to 28.8k
(33.8k with upgrade).
The Serial ports in async mode are auto sensing like any other modem.
AT\S for help.
Compaq have taken over Microcom, so you could try getting support from
there.
