Subject: (PM) PCTel problems with PM-3
Hi folks,
I've got a customer who's being disconnected almost constantly within 30-80
seconds of her connection to our PM3, running ComOS 3.8.2c2. Her modem is
reported as a HSP Micromodem 56 in the Windows 95/98 modem listing, and
produces the following ATI responses:
ATI1 A97/C02
ATI2 OK
ATI3 PCTel 7.6006 MS
ATI4 PCTel Data/Fax/Voice/Speaker/V.80
ATI5 OK
ATI6 OK
ATI7 OK
AT+FCLA 0,1,8
I don't believe it to be a processor overload - she's running a Celeron 366.
Are there any known issues regarding this chipset/firmware combination
connecting to a PM3? My thoughts are that she needs an updated vxd for
this setup, however, the PCTel page is not very informative in helping me
to determine what brand actually produced the modem, and therefore, where
to look for an updated vxd.
Any suggestions?
TIA!
