I use the AOPEN FM56 ITU in my units, and have good luck with them after you
update the drivers.
I, in fact, use 2 of them in my computer at home using MLPPP and get 100K -
56K. I use Spoon Proxy on this Win98 machine and the wife's and kids
computers are networked feed through it with no speed problems.
I have better luck with the ISA than the PCI AOPEN modems.

Are you shure it is an AOPEN, FM56 is a motorola model. The fm56 has a
problem with pm3's and even withthe socalled fix from motorola it doesnt
solve the problem at all...
