first and foremost make your subject line as descriptive as possible. It
helps immensely when using the search feature of the archived lists on
www.livingston.com and www.nexial.nl hmm, but that's only on the
portmaster-users... anyhoot...
Method 1) control panels | modems | diagnostics tab | click on comX next
to modem | click on more info button | read off atiX responses normally
ATI3 will have the revision
Method 2) use hyperterminal | get to command mode (basically cancel the
dial or use direct connection to port rather than selecting a modem) |
type in ati ati1 ati2 .... ati999 and read the responses
Often the hyperterminal method will give you much more information since
the diag method has a window that can't be stretch ed out.
