USR ISDN TA's have three signal rates, 64k, 56k, and "Tollmizer"
I know that 64k is out band data service, and Bell Atlantic charges $.01
per channel.
I assume that Tollmizer is 56k DOV, utilizing the 3.1khz voice baseband
So what is 56k? I would assume that its a 64k inband call, using 8k for
line signaling. is that considered a data call and subject to the
metered useage rates?
Our portmaster is served by channelized T-1 service, so 64k connections
are not possible.
If I place a call using Tollmizer the call fails, with the message "ISDN
call failed".
The only signaling rate I can use is 56k. Bell Atlantic's help desk is
useless, they didn't even understand me.
Does anyone know if I will be paying the metered ISDN rates for 56k
service?
thanks.
