Did you all of a sudden start seeing more disconnections ? Or did you get a
wave of customer complaints ? Summarize your RADIUS logs and see what is
happening. Customer modem problems will come in waves, _sometimes_ for no
reason. However, if you are having consistent problems, it will come out in
the data. For example, from our PRI connected PM3s running 3.8.2c2, we see
about 91-92% user initiated/negotiated/normal disconnections. Somewhere
between 0-8% of the other disconnections are the PM3s fault. e.g.
-------summary for machine--------xxx.sentex.ca----
normal 92.34% 4690/5079
User Request - Call Circuit Closed 6.28% 319/5079
Lost Carrier 1.14% 58/5079
Port Error - Exceeded LAPM retransmission limit 0.22% 11/5079
User Error - LAPM negotiation timeout 0.02% 1/5079
This is a summary of the termination reasons out of the RADIUS logs.
BTW, we have seen practically zero improvement in the modem code on 3.9
beta24.
