You mean the myth perpetrated by USR/3Com's creative marketing department
when they couldn't get X2 to do more then 53k without exceed maximum
allowable power levels on the line?
v.90 and 56Kflex do not suffer from that limitation and can and do connect
at up to 56k (Rare but it does happen!)
