I must admit I'm stumped on this one. If you have the shadow.h file
it should define a getpwnam() replacement (which should be in some
library...) and the code then uses that macro (NOSHADOW) to select
between using getpwnam() and getspwnam() (??) --- I'm clueless...

You could, but these are just warnings at compile time, so why
don't you just ignore them? Maybe post the problem to some Linux
newgroup/mailing list??
