We were using the Livingston version of RADIUS for it all, but it turns
out that unless you specify otherwise there is a default idle timeout
of 2 minutes or so on the Max. So, we have to use the Ascend version
to use the Ascend 'extensions' of idle time and filters, etc.
Well, this causes another problem. If we use the Ascend extended
version of Radius, the livingston accounting information doesn't come
through (my guess is the ascend uses new accounting hashs or whatnot).
So, what we are doing now is running the Livingston and Ascend daemons
at the same time on the same box, on differnet ports. This seems
to work out OK but we have to do a trick with /etc/services to make
the second radius daemon startup. Applying a diff of acct.c from the
livingston version to the Ascend version doesnt seem to help either.
Is anoyone using a Max-Livingston combo such as this and have any tips?

Evan
