Simple RADIUS Setup

Could someone tell me what the simplest, default values need to be for the individual ports (PM-2), and Users (if any - I suspect that there should be NO user entry in PM, referring to RADIUS device instead for all user entries) so I can make this work?

Does the portmaster need to be an .rhosts user on the RADIUS server or have any owner rights on the RADIUS server Unix setup?

Is RADIUS required to be a Root or plain user-level on the server?

This is driving me nuts - and the docs, vendor, etc. are not forthcoming with responses.

Thanks for any advice.

(ps - I DID get past the radius/udp issue on one workstation..so I'm that far...now I'm just not authenticating...)
