I understand the MS bashing in general, but IMHO this one makes a
*lot* of sense. I was wondering how MS was going to make connecting
to the internet easy and this is one of the ways that they did it.

Why didn't they share it earlier? I don't know the history, maybe
they did share it. Microsoft is far from perfect and yes there are a
lot of MS things that they do that make life difficult for some
standards processes, but this IMHO setting up the DNS entry for 1
million users is a *good* thing and also reduces those client services
headaches. :-) It just makes sense to have this capability.
