RADIUS Server Problems (Unavail. Host?)

I just got me new PM-2E10, plugged it in, configured it, and setup my
RADIUS server on a Debian Linux and SCO Unix server (Two different
servers...) When I try to log into my PM, I try using one of the default
names in the users file (steve). I hit enter, and the PM waits about
6-10 seconds, and then reports back "Host Is Currently Unavailable." I
can log in as !root, and log in with any users setup in the local user
table just fine. Now here's the weird part. Accounting works just fine
when I log in as !root, or as any user in the local tables... The
weirder part is that after about 25 repeated tries to get steve logged
in, it amazingly started to work, and my steve user got his PPP
connection. I tried it a few more times, and after about the 3rd time,
it stopped working. I've tried setting my primary and secondary RADIUS
Authentication servers to either of my Unix machines, and I get the same
results.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm losing hair quickly....
