Why in the blue blazes would you want ot authenticate on logout?

Don't have much experience with TACACS, but coming from Xylogics I have
used ERPCD quite a bit. It doesn't do logout authentification.

Are you perhaps confusing authentification with accounting records?

Well, it certainly sounds like you are talking about accounting records.
That is what RADIUS Accounting is for - Authentication/Authorization and
Accounting are two seperate systems.
