Multiple login's

Hi!

I was wondering if there is a way to efficiently prevent multiple
login's, either on a single PM or across the internet, and
if there is a way that radius (again efficiently) maintains
the "/etc/utmp" and related files or something similar?

Do I need to implement that myself or is there something
ready made?
