A desperately needed feature of _what_? ComOS? I think not. RADIUS, in
any of its forms? Doubtful. RADIUS is a means for exchange of
authentication and accounting information between an NAS and one or more
authentication/accounting servers. That is all. A purist RADIUS [server]
implementation need not even maintain any state information about the
sessions it manages. What you want is software to manage the data that
RADIUS sends to an NAS in reply to an authentication request, sometimes
making decisions based on summarization of accounting data. Trying to
modify RADIUS to "do it all" would not only result in a terribly bloated
piece of software, but would be a violation of the intent of the protocol.
I don't know if the product you seek exists; there seems to be significant
demand for it. Many sites with a need for this functionality have
developed custom solutions. Don't blame Livingston...a toaster oven
need not also function as a bagel.
