A friend had a sportster which we connected to the power of the =
computer. Hence when he switched the computer on the modem was on. He =
had lots of problems with low connection speeds, and modem cutting off. =
He even sent it back to USR without much luck. What really helped his =
problem though was placing a CPU fan on top of the modem stuck with =
bluetac.=20
USR Sportsters in yer modem pool is bad!! These things over heat
like hell... they will stop answering or connect at very low rates after
being used intensely!! You will be replacing these modems faster than
you will be adding new lines.
