Actually, it is common to use BSDI binaries on FreeBSD. But the compatibility
isn't always 100%, and it varies a LOT based on the kernel rev used. I'd
be interested it hear if anyone is using the BSDI binary on FreeBSD
successfully.
Also - folks, PLEASE don't repeatedly hit a download button on the form.
The gzip and compressed versions come over so fast it can seem like they
didn't dl, but they do. It is amusing to see 5 or more hits from the
same person (Every hit is being tracked and registered, whether you
download or register for the CD), but it makes it hard to sort out the
info.
Especially when people seem to be playing with the form - hitting dl, then
reg, then dl AND reg. trust me, it works, you don't need to test all the
buttons.
