Merit RADIUS supports seperate users files for different clients. One
trouble that you will run into is that the PPP/SLIP/CSLIP/shell entries
need to be slightly different between the Livingston and the Ascend.
For example, you might want to use PortMaster for shell users on
Livingston hardware, but have to use Rlogin on the Ascends.
You'll have to evaluate the available servers and decide which meets your
needs better:
Livingston 1.16 (bad choice)
Ascend (Livingston 1.16 + Ascend enhancements + bug fixes, good choice)
Merit (allows separate users files for Ascend vs. Livingston and PPP
autodetection)
Livingston 2.0 (a really nice server, but can't distinguish between Ascend
and Livingston hardware)
