I enquired about this about a year ago and the suggestion was to make a
small hack to acct.c to specify hardcode the <portmaster> to the one file
that you want. I made a one or two line change and it has been working
great for a while now. It still creates the directories (for which I am
sure I could comment out a couple of lines of code, but it works) but it
does keep the detail files in one. The version that I hacked was
Livingston's 1.16,
