I am sure this is a stupid question that has been asked a hundred
times. But I am new to Portmaster and Radius, today I received
my first PM3.
I am a bit curious about all the Radius Servers, Radius 1.x, Radius 2,
merit, several patched versions and so on. For now I installed
the Livingston Radius 2.0 Server.
What I want to configure is: Users that only pay a "moonlight-rate"
cannot login between 9 in the morning and 4 in the evening. When they
try they should get some error-message . Is it possible with one
of those radius-servers ? How ?
Next thing:
I do not want to put all my users in the Radius Users File, because
they are already in the /etc/passwd file. So I configured a DEFAULT
entry for Portmaster. No Problem. Unfortunately I have some Users
in my /etc/passwd who only have pop-3 accounts. They should not
be able to dialin from Portmaster. They have a different User-Group
and a different Unix-Shell. Shall I hack the radiusd for this or
is there already a solution ?
Ok, now the last question for today. Users that use ISDN pay a
higher-rate because they have more bandwidth. How can I restrict Users
to only use analog-modems or to only use digital lines ? Is it possible
to do this without putting every user in the users file ? Is it
generally a good idea to not put users in the radius users file and
to serve them via /etc/passwd ?
Thanks
Christoph
