Enter Problem at Portmaster PM2ER

Hi there...
We have installed Portmaster PM2ER at our POP.
When I dialed in, at the Username: (or Login:) prompt, we just
typed <enter> (no characters else typed), and we hoped we still got
Username: prompt.
But, what we got is Password: prompt.
I want to ask you if it's possible to make it still reply with Username:
prompt if the user dialing in just type <enter> (no character else typed).

That's a problem for our script, because we put some <enter> characters
at begining of the script as needed by our Cisco router.

can anybody help me?
