Once upon a time jsquared shaped the electrons to say...
>We're an ISP running a couple of PM3's on IRIX servers. Is there ANYTHING you
>could suggest so that I can dig into my SYSLOG files and get detailed
>accounting information about users? I'd like to be able to know things such as

>How long a user logged on each month, how many times he logged on, etc. Sure
>would appreciate any information you pass along.

Do NOT use SYSLOG for this - use RADIUS accounting.

SYLOG is NOT reliable, will almost ALWAYS have missing data, and does NOT
provide all the data that RADIUS accounting does.

I can't stress enough how bad an idea I think using SYSLOG is.
