Actually, I haven't even looked at Livingston's 2.0/2.0.1 release yet.
I've just been using Merit's version for over a year and a half, and
am familiar with the source and can hack it fairly easily. The
original attraction was the simultaneous-use restrictions in their
LAS add-on. And the support and plans for more support for modem-pool
sharing and roaming.
Now that Merit's licensing terms have changed dramatically,
I'll have to re-evaluate the range of choices.
I've been very interested in hearing more about Livingston's
next-gen AAA stuff, since I first got wind of it three months
ago. Now that you've finally made its existence known, can
you say more about its feature set? I have to integrate the
modem pools for two ISPs in the next month or two, and I'd
sure like to see what it has to offer.
