Thanks for all who helped.

I had been having problems setting up RADIUS (all versions) on RH 4.2
to authenticated users dialing into a USR TC Netserver modem server.
Radius always responded with the following message:
unix_pass: password for <myid> failed
Sending Reject of id ... to netserver
I had everything configured as recommended by the docs and list members.
It turns out the the minimum configuration required by Netserver are the
following:

User Password
Framed-Protocol
Framed-IP-Address
Framed-IP-Netmask

I had not specified a netmask before. Also used the command line to set
the secret key (MD5 Key) of the Netserver.

One thing though, I must start radius a few minutes before it starts
responding to queries from Netserver or any other utilities such as
testuser. I still can't figure out the
reason for this. I don't think that it is a Linux issue since I wrote a
small server program which receives input on the 1645 port and prints it
out. The program had no problems with immediate response.

Now I really have to dive into the rest of the stuff.

Thanks again
