Pardon me for jumping in, but I wouldn't mind knowing what radius does in
the event where there is a user in the raddb file with a 'static'
address. What happens when they log in twice to the same PM? How about
a second PM? Will the second PM arp the static address just the same as
the first one, or is there some intelligence to arp? Methinks not.
In other news, I'm curious to know how the PM handles subnets and
forwarding of RIP across a ppp connection. It seems that routed just
chokes on the remote end when there is a subnet (say a 6-address subnet)
and deletes the route to the PM in most cases.
I was playing with this a while ago, but in general terms, I couldn't get
the routing to work properly. Period.
On my end, I'm running three Linux boxen and the remote end had BSDI.
Should I junk routed completely and run gated?
