I'm sick and tired of trying to handle the serial-cable mess hanging off
the backs of my portmasters and modems. For this reason, I've decided to
use the RJ-45 <-> DB-25 sleeves, in the hope of trying to keep the cables
in some kind of order.
My question is this: What exactly needs to be connected between the
modem and terminal server? This should be terribly obvious, but I put
one pair of sleeves together to join Tx, Rx, RTS, CTS, ground, CD, DTR
and Ring Indicate.
This combination works, but seems to not get past the end of the login
script. Using a 'real' cable, it works fine, so I know all the modem
settings are correct.
