There are issues to take into account. We'd have to test and examine them
all - it is definitely not uheard of for people to write deliberately evil
code, or even just make a grave error that opens holes or breaks the HW.
If we were to place those on our site, and someone DLs them and gets burned,
they can hold it against us legally...
You won't see a writable public directory for such things anytime soon
unless something changes. Unfortunately the world isn't full of nice people,
and the jerks ruin it.
I don't even keep writable dir on my private FTP site on my ISP, I could,
and I used to, but it was subverted into a warez site and I shut it down.
