Error messages from in.pmd

I've got two PM2Es, both running ComOS Version 3.1, talking to a SunOS
4.1.3_U1 host running in.pmd. The ports are set up as TwoWay/Network and host
devices are set to /dev/pm/ttyXX (I moved the ttyXX files into a
permission-protected directory to keep the general public from being able to
dial out on our modems). Everything appears to work fine from an operational
standpoint: I can dial in to the PMs and run PPP/SLIP/rlogin sessions just
fine; I can tip to the ports from the Sun just fine; they've been running like
this for 15 months.

My "problem" is that in.pmd periodically spits these error messages to the
Sun's console:

in.pmd: pm2 get_device /dev/ptytc: I/O error
in.pmd: pm2 get_device /dev/ptytd: I/O error
in.pmd: pm2 get_device /dev/ptyte: I/O error
in.pmd: pm2 get_device /dev/ptyta: I/O error
in.pmd: pm2 get_device /dev/ptytb: I/O error

They usually come in spurts. The 5 lines above all came out at once, and then
it was silent for 15 minutes before sending out another spurt, which has
complaints about different pty's. The spurts aren't always in groups of 5
... it's often 1 or 2.

Has anyone else on the list seen this? Any idea how to make it stop? Like I
said, everything seems to work fine, but the console messages are getting
annoying.

Thanks,

Mark
