I know this was covered about a month ago, but I wasn't paying attention,
and seem to have misplaced some of the posts I saved regarding the
undocumented and unsupported feature of modem tables, and how to use them
to reset your modems after a power failure.
Because I like to set the modems a certain way & leave them that way, and
forbid users to muck about with the modem settings (or to reset them when
they're finished), all that's needed here to reset the modem is "ATZ0".
Problem is, the serial ports on the PM-2E are locked at 57600, but the
default powerup DTE speed of these SupraFAXmodems is 28800. However, it
will keep the DTE speed at the speed of the last valid AT command.
I have done the following:
> add modem supra SupraFAXmodem288 57600 ATZ0 OK
> set s0 modem supra
(saving & resetting and all).
However, when I reset the port, it doesn't set the DTE speed of the modem
(i.e. does not send the ATZ0 command).
Since I can't find the instructions I [thought I] saved [somewhere, I'm
sure! ;-)], can some kind soul on the list please tell me what I've left
out or done wrong?
Thanks.
