Since you haven't described your setup, this may not be your problem...
I had shadow compiled for 16 char passwords, but radius only 8. I could
verify his pw on the authenticate host, but not thru dial-up. We changed
the users pw to use 8 chars and alls well. Time to look at radius again
to see if 16 chars is an option. Dont remember--My brain is full!!!!
