Excellent question.

About a month ago, I tried to have 3 telnet sessions open at once to my
PM-2E on the _command_ port (moved from 23), logged in as bangroot (I was
experimenting with some things via "attach", which we already know is buggy
and currently unsupported). After a few minutes of doing that, it crashed
the PM.

I don't know if it's because there were more than one bangroot sessions at
once, or because I was fiddling with "attach" (I suspect the latter). But
I haven't been fooling with "attach" much, lately, nor logging in as
bangroot more than once at a time, and haven't had any problems.

I have 8 modems set up for outgoing (well, two outgoing, 6 twoway), and
although I've never seen them all in use at once, I have seen up to 5 in
use at once with no ill effects.

Just a data point...
