We have MT2834MR SNMP managed modems/racks at about 6 POPs and we've not
had a problem with them. The rack management software is outstanding,
enabling you to setup modem configuration files to automate new modem
configs, reset the actual modem remotely, grab statistics in pie or 3d
bar chart formats, a security database editor, modem inventory and alot
more (man, i'm starting to sound like i work for 'em ;). The one thing I
dislike is that it requires (and comes with) an ArcNet NIC. We've got
some problems in our network (which will prolly be another message to
this listserv entirely) but I don't think it's the modems. *shrug*
MultiTech was offering an ISP package, but to my knowledge, they are
ending it in the upcoming month(s).
