Somehow I think that this person was suggesting that Livingston write the
expect script and the conversion utility themselves and provide it to
customers. This would also ensure thorough coverage of all the settings
in the Portmaster.

If you do this it would make sense to write the conversion utility in
"expect/TCL" as well as the capture utility. Or else, use PERL 4 (not
PERL 5) for both the capture and conversion. Include a copy of the
chat.pl (or whatever it's called) that is used so that all customers need
is a working PERL.
