The most time-consuming part of the Linux beta and upcoming BSD/OS beta
(I've got enough volunteers, thanks!) is the GUI PMconsole. I'd like
to take a survey to ask how many people would be interested in seeing
us put the beta pminstall (and possibly pmreadconf and pmreadpass) for
Linux 1.2.1 and BSD/OS 2.0 out for open FTP without waiting for the
rest of the PMconsole release on those platforms yet beta process.
Please send your views to cdr@livingston.com (and ONLY me, NOT the entire
list please!) and include SURVEY in the subject line; when I get back
from Interop in a week I'll compile the results and plead the case one
way or the other before The High Council of Pleasing Our Customers, so
they can say "Yes, go forth and make it happen" or "Not hardly" or even
"You filled up the mail spool you idiot."
In other words, I'm not promising anything, but I AM interested in hearing
what you think of the idea.
