still having problems with radiusd.....

I'm still having problems with certain users trying to log on via radiusd.
For some reason, some users (nothing linking each other, btw) cannot log in
via radiusd. They get invalid login messages, yet I have about 50 other people
who have an entry in /etc/raddb/users and they can all log in. The only way
I have found to remedy this is to actually add a netuser to the portmaster.
Does anybody have any clues on this problem? I'm running freebsd 2.0.5 and
I have modified the src code like it was mentioned in the install page to handle
shadow passwords.
