Old-style Unix access meant users were forced to see your message of the
day and note system down-times or password changes.
Not so easy with PPP users who seldom telnet. many users ignore Email
or have their home page set to other than their provider....
How can we force a page on our own users, overriding wherever they are
browsing at the time?
Seems to me it should be possible to spoof an HTML request 'from' the
IPs of all recognized users logged into a portmaster using pm_command
to identify who is on..
This is not for malicious intent, but to issue warnings about going over
alloted time, system imminent shutdowns, billing etc.
It sounds like a job for Server Push, but what if it was not requested?
Any ideas out there..?
