Spurious 'spurious interrupts' (fwd)

Once upon a time NEXUS SUPPORT shaped the electrons to say...
>I just saw spurious interrupts in my syslog output on a particular port. Only thing is there is nothing attached to the port!

There was probably some static/current/cosmic rays in the port, enough to
cause the PM to say "What the heck was that?"

>This leads me to ask what commands should be used to tell the pm that a port (previously used for dialin/dialout) is no longer in use ?

Nothing really, you can set them back to defaults with PMconsole, or just
leave them alone. If they are set for dialin, there isn't any 'disabling'
if you just unplug the modems.
