Please do not discount this idea.

I understand the problem of multiple calls but I have 2 systems 1 used for
students one for administration. The sudent system has lots of traffic as
you can imagine. But the admin has much less. (Most of my administrators
don't want to go home and work on computers but it is nice give them the
option.)

I will explore your options, merit radius etc.
