We're supporting ISDN access for x.75, v110 and v120 currently.
But some MAC people claim they can only do PPP over HDLC, so as a test
I've hooked up a ELSA terminal adapter to a portmaster and set it
to async PPP to HDLC.
Then I went home and did the same for my adapters at home. I used both
an ELSA TL/v.34 and an ZyXel I2834. And in both cases the portmaster
did not recognise the PPP coming from the adapter as real PPP.
(Or atleast set debug 0x51 does not give any PPP on the port.)
Where as I attach to the port, It seriously looks like PPP, if only
because there's plenty of {}"s.
If I switch the adapters on both ends back to x.75, it again works smoothly.
We're talking about a PM30 with ComOS 3.3.1.
terminal adapter ELSA Microlink TL/v.34
Questions:
Is anybody running adapters in this mode?
Are they connected to a PM?
And if so, how did you setup the PM?
Would I be better off using the Portmaster ISDN board?
Probably it can not do the v.110, v.120, x.75 stuff, killing our previous
clientele??
Thanx,
Willem Jan
