We've been going back and forth with Ascend on this for over a month =
now.
They claim their software won't support dialing two numbers, but promise
it will be in their next release, whenever that is. I'm far from =
thrilled
with those guys...

box) to do two channels _dynamicly_ is to have an Ascend on both ends.
Two channels works just fine if you tell the Ascend to always do two
channels AND your BRI's are in a channel-to-channel hunt group.
I'm not clear as to why Ascend makes a distinction between dynamic and
static channel allocation in relation to the phone numbers it dials,
but they acknowledge that it is their problem. I'm not holding my
breath for a fix, and have advised all of our customers with Ascend
hardware to just use two channels all the time.
As for the PM calling out to the Ascend, we tried that but the Ascend
seems to get confused and drop both channels.
