The Ascend is pretty much all default settings, and we are using both =
rev's of software the newest one available on their web site, and the =
one that was installed as shipped, so you really don't need to upgrade. =
You must of course change the MP settings for bonding but other than =
that I don't think I changed any of the settings from their default =
values.

The PM has some changes that need to be made that are outlined in =
Livingston's ISDN FAQ and are also in the Blue books that ship with the =
newer ones. Having said this the only other glitch that I have noticed =
is when the PM first calls the Ascend it will not negotiate successfully =
but if you have ON-Demand turned on it will try again and get through on =
the second try. By this time the Ascend has usually used one of the =
channels for a 'in' connection to the PM. So you end up with one 'in' =
connection and one 'out' connection.

Also just a note, most all of the troubles we've had setting up 4+ of =
thes type connections have turned out to be telco problems. They say =
everything is ok, then when we get them back out to check the line they =
discover problems, this is the only thing that has kept the Ascend -> PM =
connection from being 100%.

Hi Bryan,

I'd like to learn more about how you have things setup.
Can you provide any more details on the settings you
have for the PM & Ascend?

TIA,
Bill
