Upgrade of an old PM2e

We have a PM2e that is fairly old ( over a year). It has ComOS 3.1.4 (or
something 3.1.ish). Is the upgrade to 3.3.1 easy? Will the user tables be
lost? Can I get a memory upgrade for it, and will that blank it?
I have tried the Livingston Web Page, and got a very nice white paper as to
how I can purchase a new portmaster, but nothing about upgrading the memory
on old ones. Specifics would be most appreciated.
