Open Transport (1.1) is completely compatible with the portmaster PPP.
You will want to make sure that you are using FreePPP 1.0.5.
ftp://ftp.telalink.net/pub/mac/tcp/ppp/

If you are using OT prior to 1.1, you will probably experience problems.
Setup is a breeze. Just set OT to FreePPP in the first popup and set to
get the address from the PPP server on the second popup. Add dns
addresses and a default domain name and connect. Works every time. Make
sure that users are running System Software 7.5.3 and life will be much
easier. The update is available [free??] from Apple and must be installed
on 7.5.0 or later.

PS, I heard a rumor that a 7.5.3 patch is coming out soon if anyone cares.
